Jonas Solbach is awarded the Giorgio Behr-Prize 2022 of the Institute of Accounting, Controlling and Auditing at the University of St. Gallen (ACA-HSG).
Jonas Solbach completed his Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management with a stay abroad in Madrid from 2011 to 2014. From 2014 to 2015, Jonas Solbach worked in Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services at Ernst & Young. From 2015 to 2017, he returned to WHU for a Master in Management and completed an MBA semester abroad at Indiana University.
Following his Master`s degree, Jonas Solbach earned his PhD in Business Administration from 2017 to 2021 at the Institute of Accounting, Controlling & Auditing (ACA-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen. During this time he also worked at the Chair of Controlling / Performance Management as a research assistant at the Hilti Lab. The first paper from the cumulative dissertation has already been published in the MIT Sloan Management Review and the results “A New Era of Compensation” have been edited for a wide audience in the Academic GIFt Series of the HSG.
After completing his doctorate, Jonas Solbach joined Hilti AG in Schaan as Strategy Manager Market Reach.
The Giorgio Behr Prize is awarded to the winner for one of the best disserations in the departments of the Institute of Accounting, Controlling and Auditing at the University of St. Gallen (ACA-HSG).
The public award ceremony took place as part of the ACA Symposium on 13 and 14 September 2022 in Zurich.
